Create a dynamic and visually engaging website for the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival (LSDBF), hosted by the Rotary Club of Superior. The website needed to effectively communicate the festival’s activities, registration options, sponsorship opportunities, and fundraising efforts while embodying the event’s community-driven mission.
The Solution
- Designed a vibrant and user-friendly website that highlights key features of the festival, including:
- Registration options for teams and individuals.
- Activities such as Dragon Boat Races, a 5K Fun Run, Tug of War, and festival highlights like food trucks, a beer garden, live DJ, and award ceremonies.
- Sponsorship opportunities for supporting the festival and the option to sponsor a team with promo code distribution for paddlers.
- Integrated an easy-to-navigate registration process, allowing users to create or join teams, register without a team, and customize their fundraising pages to support 23rd Veteran, this year’s charitable partner.
- Developed clear sections to promote fundraising efforts, sponsorships, and donations, emphasizing the festival’s impact on the local community and its support for veterans.
- Included a PDF Festival guide that can be viewed or downloaded.
- Ensured the site captures the festival's lively and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging community engagement and participation.
