The Challenge:
KA Enterprises needed to move one of their existing websites under PWC’s care so it could be maintained more reliably alongside their other sites. The original site was built on outdated technology, including older Laravel, PHP, and Bootstrap versions, which created security, performance, and compatibility concerns. The client did not want a full redesign at this stage, so the goal was to preserve the general look while rebuilding the site on a more stable platform.
The Solution:
PWC recreated the KA Enterprises website in its website platform, keeping the design familiar while improving performance, maintainability, navigation, and content structure. The refreshed site gave KA Enterprises a cleaner, more reliable version of the site under the same care system as their other websites.
Steps Taken:
- Reviewed the existing KA Enterprises website and identified outdated technology, slow-loading pages, broken project content, and inherited content issues.
- Rebuilt the site inside PWC’s website platform so it could be managed under the same system as KA Enterprises’ other websites.
- Preserved the general design direction because the client did not request a major redesign.
- Added clearer calls to action and improved homepage navigation to make key project areas easier to reach.
- Improved menu structure so users could more easily access top-level and dropdown pages.
- Cleaned up content issues from the old site, including typos, missing content, and broken project pages.
- Used structured collections for leadership and project content so updates can be managed more efficiently.
- Improved the contact area by making the contact button more prominent.
- Added an automated current-year copyright update.
- Moved the site into a faster, more modern, and easier-to-maintain setup.
The Result:
KAEnterprises now has a refreshed website that keeps the familiar structure of the old site while improving speed, usability, and maintainability. The site is also easier for PWC to support going forward because it now lives within the same platform ecosystem as the client’s other websites.
What the site can do now:
- Load faster than the previous outdated site.
- Present project categories and pages more clearly.
- Use improved calls to action across the homepage and contact areas.
- Maintain a more consistent layout across pages.
- Allow easier content updates through PWC’s website platform.
- Manage repeated content, such as leadership and projects, through structured collections.
- Keep the copyright year updated automatically.
- Stay under PWC’s ongoing care and maintenance process.
