Content Marketing Trends to Watch in 2022
Content marketing is the process of planning, creating, and sharing content with your target audience. It helps you generate brand awareness, convince customers to take action, and drive revenue.
As entrepreneurs, we need to see what our competitors are focusing on to strategize ahead on how our business could stand out and ahead.
Here are trends to look out for in 2022:
1. Short-form video takes center stage.
The amount of online video watched per person per week has almost doubled since 2018, according to Wistia. As of 2021, it’s at 18 hours per week. This consumer behavior has made video, short-form specifically, the primary form of media used within any content strategy for the third year in a row.
2. Podcasting upholds its reign.
Podcasts continue to hold court in content marketing strategies in 2022. This is not surprising, considering that U.S. consumers alone listened to 15 billion hours of podcasts in 2021.

Microsoft's Bing and Cortana got hacked!
The hacking group Lapsus$ posted a file that it claimed contains partial source code for Microsoft's Bing and Cortana in an archive holding nearly 37GB of data.
Microsoft was able to shut down the hackers mid-operation. Microsoft investigators have been tracking the Lapsus$ group for weeks, and details some of the methods they’ve used to compromise victims’ systems.
Here are recommendations from Microsoft to avoid being a victim of these hacks:
1. Use strong Multifactor authentication (MFA).
2. Remind employees that enterprise or workplace credentials should not be stored in browsers or password vaults secured with personal credentials.
